The fact that over 120 people from the digital analytics sphere turned up bright and early on a saturday morning at Mozilla’s London HQ was in itself a measure of the popularity of the MeasureCamp event, bringing together both professionals and enthusiasts to share knowledge and develop their skills.
This was our very first ‘unconference’ so we weren’t sure exactly what to expect but we weren’t disappointed. The day consisted of an à la carte menu of discussions and presentations, both scheduled and unscheduled, varying widely in content and subject matter. From Google Analytics 101 to a session brainstorming events and custom variables to a day-closing discussion around the subject ‘Does anyone outside this room actually give a...(Ed.) care about digital analytics?’, we found the day both highly interesting and convivial. It was also a great opportunity to meet again with senior BIME partner, Nicolas Malo, of OptimalWays.
The overriding feeling of MeasureCamp was the nurturing of a real community atmosphere, thanks in no small part to Peter O’Neil and the organizing committee who managed to turn a potential organisational nightmare into a very successful and streamlined event. Bravo!
