We @ BIME have fun searching, measuring, analyzing patterns and trends around us. We also have a lot of fun bowling. Thus, we had lots of fun at the 6th edition of the Measure Bowling competition.
This European event was organized simultaneously in 23 cities all across the continent for the Digital Analytics community and the BIME team was proud to sponsor in Montpellier on the 20th of November.
Needless to say, after the last pin fell on the lane, we started measuring and analyzing our results! We built an interactive dashboard and here is what we found out:
Both girls and boys have had better results in the second round but surprisingly, they both has the same overall improvement rate (only 1%).
But, with a total of 3700 points, we are pretty proud of the Montpellier performance!
There was only team that did not improve its performance in the second round and this was decisive in the final ranking.
The fourth team recorded the highest difference between the Round 2 points and the Round 1 points.
The majority of the players had better performances in Round 2 but there were also players who were ahead in Round 1 and then lost their touch in Round 2.
Finally, the ranking for the best bowlers in Montpellier (who are also digital analysts) looks like this:
The prize for the highest score went to a BIME team member who made his debut in the competition - Neil. We wish him as many good analysis as the number of pins and strikes he succeeded in the competition! Another prize was also awarded to the nerdiest t-shirt of the evening and Gregory, with his SuperMario friend, won by far! Congrats for everybody and see you at the next Measure Bowling with more in-depth analysis and, of course, more strikes and fun!
