There are many uses of Business Intelligence in an organization. That's why BI is not tied to a specific function - every department in an organization is likely to be able to benefit from using Business Intelligence. This includes Human Resources. We are going to take a look at some of the ways an HR department could analyze their data. Imagine, for example, that you have been asked to review the company's employee compensation policy and come up with a new benefits package which will cut costs for the employer. How would you go about it? A good place to start would be to break down how much each type of employee is currently costing the employer.
Taking a look at the Bime dashboard below, we have utilized one of the newest functions available - grouped dashboards.
Industry: Human Resources
For who: HR Managers, Project Managers, Top Management
Data source(s): Google Spreadsheet
Viewing tip: Make the dashboard fullscreen by clicking the "Fullscreen" button in the bottom left hand corner of the dashboard.
Don't forget to check out our other example dashboards in the showcase section.
This is just one very simple example of the types of thing that you can use Bime for within your organization. We would love to hear your thoughts too - how do you see yourself using Bime? With what kind of analyses? Comments are most welcome!
