Head In The French Cloud - Rachel Delacour

It’s not enough to be a rising entrepreneur. It’s essential to be a voice. And a mentor. And this is why Impossible is not a French word! has been the buzz phrase of the summer for all the French technology entrepreneurs. A phrase that Rachel Delacour, CEO of BIME Analytics, launched in Nantes at the Web2Days event where she was one of the main speakers - a phrase that caught fire - from Montpellier, the center of the La French Tech initiatives in the region and all the way to Paris where she presented her global vision during the France Digitale conference.

The great international achievements of BIME Analytics gave a major image boost to the emerging French digital industry and a higher level of trust in its capacity to compete with / within mature markets such as the ones in the USA or Asia. As a sign of recognition for all these feats, Rachel Delacour has been awarded the La Tribune Women’s Award in the Digital Industry by Philippe Saurel - the mayor of Montpellier.

The award highlights Rachel Delacour’s initiatives that made Montpellier as one of the main cities in the La French Tech national program. 9 women in the Languedoc-Roussillon region were given this honour and Rachel outlined once more in her award speech that the cloud computing market is opening up never seen before opportunities for local French entrepreneurs to expand quickly and efficiently at a global level (see her intervention at 2:50).

LaTribune also created a complete portrait of Rachel in an interview through which the newspaper offered young entrepreneurs in France the opportunity to hear her thoughts on the direction the French digital industry.

She explained to the readers that BIME Analytics’ success is based on the global vision she and her co-founder, Nicolas Raspal, had from the very beginning for the product they created as the company develops its business all over the world with US being one of the main markets for the cloud BI solution. More than that, as the company opened its first office in the US, in Kansas City, she unveiled the mirage of the Silicon Valley and highlighted the potential for accelerated recruitment of brilliant people in an emerging tech region of the US in comparison to the already crowded Palo Alto alleys. Last but not least, Rachel presented the future company plans for expansion and her own plans to helping French tech start-ups as a mentor and business angel.
